Soviet-era ring, 90s, sterling silver, grape motif, UK size P.
About this piece
A charming ring from the Soviet era, likely 1990s, cast in sterling silver with a three-dimensional grape cluster as its signature motif. The bunch sits proud from the band, its individual berries carefully modelled and textured, while delicate leaves frame the composition. The craftsmanship is characteristic of Soviet jewellery-making: detailed relief work achieved through traditional casting techniques, with a subtle patina that speaks to genuine age and wear.
In UK size P, it sits comfortably on the finger and feels substantial without being heavy. The band shows light surface wear consistent with regular wear over decades, with no cracks or repairs. The patina — that soft darkening across the details — is part of its authentic character and can be gently polished if you prefer a brighter finish. Sterling silver of this age occasionally tarnishes; a soft cloth and warm soapy water will keep it clean, and we recommend storing it in a dry place or a tarnish-inhibiting pouch.
