Soviet Sterling Silver Ring 1970s Size O1/2

About this piece
A striking leaf-motif ring from Soviet manufacture, cast in sterling silver with a naturalistic design that captures the folk sensibility of 1970s jewellery-making. The splayed maple or similar leaves fan outward from a central ball finial, their veins finely detailed and textured. The band tapers gently towards the back, allowing comfortable wear. In UK size O½, it sits securely without bulk.
The ring shows excellent wear for its age—the silver retains its warm patina, the leaf relief remains crisp, and no dents or repairs are evident. As a Soviet-era piece without visible factory marks, it exemplifies the skilled anonymous craftsmanship of the period, when such naturalistic ornaments were favoured in Eastern European jewellery design. We recommend gentle cleaning with a soft cloth; should you wish to polish it, use silver cream sparingly to preserve the intentional darkening in the leaf veins.
