Sterling silver ring “safe and protect “ спаси и сохрани “spasi I sohrani” size L
About this piece
A substantial sterling silver band ring, hallmarked and inscribed with the Russian protective phrase “Спаси и сохрани” (Spasi i sohrani — “Save and Protect”). The text is engraved in relief across the face, forming the ring’s primary decoration. The band is broad and substantial, with a soft gold-toned patina visible in places, suggesting gentle wear over time. In UK size L, it sits comfortably as a statement piece on the hand.
This style of inscribed protective ring is rooted in Russian Orthodox tradition, where such phrases are worn as spiritual safeguards. The solid construction and quality hallmarking indicate Soviet-era craftsmanship. The surface shows light marks and natural wear consistent with regular wear, but the engraving remains crisp and legible. A timeless piece that blends personal meaning with authentic vintage silverwork.
