“Incredible silver ring with rock crystal, size Y”
About this piece
A boldly proportioned ring showcasing a substantial oval cabochon of rock crystal—clear and luminous—set in what appears to be sterling silver with four prongs securing the stone. The band is substantial, with swept shoulders that taper slightly toward the back, creating an elegant profile. In UK size Y, this is a statement piece that sits proudly on the finger, commanding attention without fussiness.
Rock crystal has been treasured for centuries, valued for its clarity and cool, glassy lustre. This example is clean and well-polished, with no visible inclusions or damage to the stone. The metalwork shows the patina of age and wear—minor scuffing to the band and a soft sheen rather than high polish—which speaks to generous wearing over the decades. A timeless design that bridges several periods: equally at home in mid-century modern jewellery collections or as a contemporary statement ring. Light daily wear is fine; avoid harsh chemicals and prolonged immersion.
