A pair of ornate sterling silver and reconstituted amber earrings.
About this piece
A striking pair of drop earrings combining warm amber with intricate silver filigree. The crescent-shaped pendants are made from reconstituted amber — a composite material formed from amber fragments and resin — in a rich golden-orange tone with visible flecks and depth. Each stone is topped with a delicate openwork cap in sterling silver, detailed with scrolling foliate patterns that catch the light beautifully. The earrings hang from simple silver hook wires, allowing them to move gently when worn.
The craftsmanship reflects a folk-inspired aesthetic popular in mid-twentieth-century jewellery. Reconstituted amber offers the warmth and character of genuine amber at a more accessible price point, and remains durable for everyday wear. The pair shows excellent condition with no cracks or cloudiness to the amber, and the silver retains its lustre. A timeless choice that works equally well with casual and dressier outfits.
