This is a pair of vintage sterling silver amethyst floral stud earrings.

A handsome pair of stud earrings centred on cabochon-cut amethyst stones, each set in a delicate silver collet at the heart of a radiating flower pattern. The petals are formed of graduated spheres in sterling silver — larger at the cardinal points, smaller between — creating a domed, organic look typical of mid-twentieth-century silverwork. The technique, known as bead-setting or granulation, was popular in Scandinavian and British jewellery of that period.

Both earrings are in excellent condition, showing only minor patina consistent with age and gentle wear. The amethyst stones retain their rich purple tone and smooth shine. The butterfly backs are original and secure. These sit close to the ear and would suit both everyday wear and special occasions, complementing a variety of skin tones and outfits with their warm, classic appeal.
