About this piece
A delicate Soviet-era ring in sterling silver, crafted with the intricate filigree technique characteristic of Ukrainian jewellery-making. The face features a stylised floral or foliate motif rendered in openwork, with fine texturing and granulation detail that catches the light beautifully. The band is smooth and tapers slightly toward the shoulders, allowing the sculptural head to sit prominently.
In UK size R, this piece carries the hallmarks of mid-20th-century Soviet craftsmanship—economical in precious metal yet generous in artistry. The condition is excellent, with only the gentlest patina suggesting age; the silver retains its lustre and the filigree shows no damage or loss. To care for it, we recommend mild soap and warm water, and storing it dry when not worn to preserve the silver finish.
