Vintage Soviet Round Sterling Silver Ring Size M1/2
About this piece
A boldly sculptural modernist ring from the Soviet era, centred on a substantial polished sterling silver sphere bisected by deeply incised linear grooves. The geometric form catches light beautifully, creating dynamic shadow and shine as the hand moves. The band is a simple, understated tapered sterling shaft that lets the domed focal point command attention.
In UK size M½, it sits comfortably as a statement piece on the middle or ring finger. The sphere shows fine wear consistent with vintage use—light surface patina and the subtle grazing that gives old silver its authentic character—yet the metal remains lustrous and structurally sound. A wonderful example of mid-twentieth-century Soviet design, where functional elegance and sculptural intent merged effortlessly. Polish gently with a soft cloth; for deeper cleaning, use a silver cloth or mild soap and warm water.
