About this piece
A slender Soviet-era ring in 925 sterling silver, sized UK O. The band is plain and smooth, tapering slightly toward a striking modernist head: a stylised loop or eye motif in oxidised silver (blackened finish) set atop the shank. The contrast between the polished metal of the band and the darkened decorative element is characteristic of mid-twentieth-century Soviet metalwork — restrained, geometric, and boldly minimal.
The ring shows honest wear consistent with age and use: fine scratches to the band and a pleasing patina overall. The oxidised finish on the head remains intact and legible. Sterling silver of this era was robust and forgiving; a gentle clean with warm soapy water and a soft cloth will restore shine to the band without affecting the intentional blackening. We recommend sizing confirmation before wearing, as vintage measurements can vary subtly.
