Vintage silver onyx ring, size K 1/2
About this piece
A substantial signet-style ring in sterling silver, centred with a smooth, domed cabochon of polished black onyx. The stone is set in a beaded collar that catches light beautifully, and the broad shoulders taper slightly towards the band. The metal shows the warmth and patina of age, with a gentle satin finish across the shoulders — characteristic of well-worn vintage pieces.
In UK size K½, the ring has considerable presence on the hand. The weight and solidity speak to quality silversmithing, likely mid-twentieth century. The design is timeless and unadorned enough to suit both everyday wear and formal occasions. The onyx remains glossy and unmarked, and the silver takes a soft polish well. We recommend storing it away from moisture and polishing occasionally with a soft cloth to maintain its lustre.
