Soviet 875 silver ring Uk size S
About this piece
A striking modernist ring from the Soviet era, crafted in 875 silver — the standard Soviet hallmark for high-quality silver alloy. The bold, geometric head features an open lattice or cage-like design that catches light beautifully, crowned with what appears to be a polished stone or cabochon at its centre. The band is substantial and smooth, tapering slightly toward the shank, designed for comfortable everyday wear.
In UK size S, this piece exemplifies the sculptural, architectural approach to jewellery that characterised Soviet design of the mid-to-late 20th century. The craftsmanship is confident and precise, with clean lines and confident proportions. The ring shows light surface wear consistent with genuine vintage use — minor patina to the silver — but the structure remains solid and the stone secure. A striking statement piece that works equally well as a cocktail ring or everyday wear for those who appreciate bold, functional design.
