Malachite Earrings AoJie
About this piece
A pair of pear-shaped malachite drops in silver-tone metal mounts, suspended from elongated bead-capped ear wires. The malachite displays the characteristic banded green patterns typical of the stone, with good lustre and translucency. The setting is simple and elegant, allowing the natural striping of the stone to take centre stage.
Malachite has been prized for jewellery for centuries, valued both for its striking appearance and its traditional associations with protection and healing. These earrings are ideal for everyday wear, sitting comfortably on the ear and offering a pop of colour without heaviness. The stones show minor surface wear consistent with gentle use, and the metal retains its finish well. We recommend removing them before swimming or bathing to preserve the stones and prevent patination of the metal.
