Rare unique Soviet Sterling silver ring Uk size M1/2
About this piece
A striking modernist ring from the Soviet era, crafted in sterling silver with a bold sculptural form. The dome sits proud from the band, its surface carved with deep, rhythmic ridges that catch the light beautifully — a hallmark of Soviet design’s marriage of geometry and organic expression. In UK size M½, it sits comfortably as a statement piece or everyday wear.
The silver shows patina consistent with age and wear, with subtle scratching across the band that speaks to genuine use rather than shelf life. The ridged surface has softened slightly with time, lending it a warm, lived-in character. This is a piece that rewards close looking: the craftsmanship in those parallel grooves is precise, suggesting a maker who understood both technical skill and visual impact. Soviet jewellery of this calibre — substantial, purposeful, unadorned — remains undervalued outside specialist circles.
