Silver ring with gold plating and amethysts, size O
About this piece
A striking cluster ring featuring twelve faceted amethyst stones arranged in a dense, dome-shaped composition. The purple stones are set in gilt (gold-plated) silver bezel settings, their pale lavender hue catching light beautifully. The band is substantial and smooth, finished in warm gold plating that has developed the soft patina of wear — a characteristic that adds authenticity to a vintage piece.
In UK size O, this ring makes a confident statement piece suitable for evening wear or those who favour more sculptural jewellery. The construction is sturdy, with good depth to the head. The gold plating shows expected wear consistent with regular use over time, particularly visible where the band meets the stone setting. The amethysts remain bright and clear, unmarked by chips or cloudiness. A charming example of mid-century gilt silver cluster work.
