Sterling silver natural blue apatite ring, UK size Q
The hallmark “925” looks strange. I tested it with reagents and there is some silver content present, but I am not confident that this is genuine sterling silver (925 standard). It might be silver-plated instead.
About this piece
This striking ring features a polished deep blue apatite stone, cut and set as a generous teardrop cabochon that catches the light beautifully. The stone displays the soft lustre and gentle colour variation characteristic of natural apatite, with visible surface texturing that adds depth and character. It’s mounted in what is marked as silver, held securely in a simple bezel setting that lets the stone take centre stage.
In UK size Q, the ring has a presence on the hand without being unwieldy. The setting sits proudly proud of the band, which is smooth and comfortable to wear. Condition is excellent — the stone is clean and bright, and the metalwork shows only light surface wear consistent with gentle use. We’d recommend a soft cloth for regular cleaning, and occasional warm soapy water to keep the apatite fresh.
