About this piece
A refined pair of drop earrings in sterling silver, each suspending a polished oval cabochon of natural chrysoprase in a warm apple-green. The stones are held in decorative prong settings that catch and diffuse light softly, revealing the gentle translucency characteristic of good-quality chrysoprase. The leverback clasps — sometimes called Russian or European locks — are secure and comfortable for all-day wear, closing with a satisfying, audible click.
Chrysoprase has long been valued for its calming colour and is believed by some to carry protective properties; it works equally well as an everyday stone or for special occasions. The oval cabochon cut is timeless, suiting both contemporary and vintage dress. We can see light wear consistent with gentle use; the settings remain sturdy and the clasps function smoothly. To care for them, simply wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wear, and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which may gradually fade the stone’s vivid green.
