Uk size S1/2 Soviet sterling silver ring
About this piece
A striking Soviet-era ring in sterling silver, combining two-tone metalwork with distinctive sculptural design. The face features a boldly modelled classical male head in polished silver, flanked by sweeping scrollwork, whilst the shoulders transition to a warm yellow-gold tone with a fine crosshatch pattern. The contrast between the bright silver portrait and the warmer metal creates visual depth and suggests skilled mixed-metal construction typical of Soviet jewellery craftsmanship.
In UK size S½, this sits as a statement piece without overwhelming the hand. The ring shows excellent wear—the polished surfaces retain their lustre and the relief detailing is crisp. The crosshatching on the shoulders shows minor surface wear consistent with careful wear over time. A striking choice for those drawn to mid-century figural jewellery and the bold aesthetic of Soviet design.
