About this piece
A striking pair of modernist stud earrings in 925 sterling silver, each topped with a polished triangular lapis lazuli stone in deep blue. Below hangs a slender silver drop—a simple geometric flourish that distinguishes these from conventional studs. The lapis is warm-toned with characteristic pyrite flecks, cut as an equilateral triangle that catches light beautifully.
The posts are straightforward and secure. These earrings sit close to the ear, making them comfortable for everyday wear despite their sculptural presence. The silver shows light patina consistent with gentle age and occasional wear; the stones remain lustrous and intact. A lovely example of 1970s–80s modernist jewellery design, when geometric forms and semi-precious stones were favoured. We recommend a soft cloth and warm soapy water to maintain their shine.
