Vintage carnelian sterling silver ring Uk N,
the late 19th century to the first half of the 20th century (approximately the 1890s to the 1930s)
About this piece
A handsome ring centred on a polished cabochon of deep carnelian—the warm reddish-brown stone prized in Victorian and Edwardian jewellery. The oval stone is held in a sterling silver surround with a scalloped decorative bezel that catches the light beautifully, lending the piece a vintage charm. The band tapers toward the shank, which shows the hallmarks of early 20th-century craftsmanship. In UK size N, it sits comfortably as a statement ring on the middle or ring finger.
This is the sort of piece that belonged in a woman’s everyday collection—substantial enough to be noticed, yet restrained in design. The carnelian itself is in excellent condition, with a rich, translucent glow when held to light. The silver shows gentle surface wear consistent with age and wear, which only adds to its authenticity and character. We recommend a soft cloth for gentle cleaning, and avoid prolonged exposure to harsh chemicals.
