About this piece
This is a beautifully preserved parure from Naples, the historic heart of Italian cameo craftsmanship. The set comprises a larger brooch or pendant and a pair of matching earrings, each featuring a hand-carved shell cameo mounted in sterling silver frames with a characteristic beaded border. The cameos depict classical female profiles in warm cream and rust tones against the natural shell ground—the hallmark of Torre del Greco’s tradition.
The hallmark 331 NA confirms registration with a Neapolitan master jeweller, a mark of authenticity and quality. All three pieces retain their original excellent condition, with clean silver settings and well-defined carving. The earrings are fitted with hook wires suitable for pierced ears. A set of this calibre makes a statement worn together, or the pieces may be styled individually—the brooch can be pinned or worn as a pendant on a chain. Store in a soft pouch away from moisture; clean gently with a soft cloth when needed.
