For Collectors: Vintage Soviet Gilt Ring with Foiled Glass Stone ✨
A genuine piece of USSR-era costume jewellery, offered as a collector’s ring. It’s a lovely example of Soviet design for display or a collection, rather than a pristine everyday piece.
A large round faceted glass stone sits on a foil backing in a closed-back setting. It’s surrounded by a rope-twist and granulated border and held by six claws on a slim gold-plated band. A Cyrillic Soviet factory mark is stamped inside the band.
About the Stone
The stone is glass.It’s foil-backed in the traditional way: a thin mirror of metal behind the glass gathers light and returns it as a soft, warm glow. Please note the stone shows its age:
• The foil backing has deteriorated in places, creating a patchy, misty effect
• Surface scratches and wear across the facets
• Small chips and internal fractures to the glass, most visible at the centre
These marks are part of its history and character.
