A charming Soviet-era silver ring with a sculpted leaf with finely textured veins, set sideways on a slim band. Hallmarked inside with the Soviet star assay mark, 916 silver fineness and a maker’s mark. Made in the USSR, circa 1960s.

This is a beautifully crafted Soviet ring from the 1960s, hallmarked with the iconic five-pointed star assay mark and stamped 916 silver — a fineness standard used across the USSR. The sculptural leaf face is deeply textured with fine veins, catching light along its surface, and sits sideways on a slender, unadorned band. The minimalist Modernist design is characteristic of Soviet jewellery-making: functional elegance without embellishment, letting the natural form and the silversmith’s hand-work speak.
In UK size M½ (US 6.5), it sits comfortably as an everyday ring.
