vintage hallmarked silver pendant ‘charles & diana wedding’ 1981
About this piece
This charming bracelet is crafted from hallmarked sterling silver and features a distinctive hinged-bangle construction with decorative engraved detailing across both the upper and lower panels. The engraving depicts leaf or foliate motifs rendered in a gentle, naturalistic style typical of mid-twentieth-century children’s jewellery. The bangle opens via a neat side clasp and sits comfortably on the wrist with a satisfying weight.
The finish shows honest wear consistent with years of wear and play—light surface scratching and a soft patina befitting its age and vintage status. The hallmark confirms sterling silver (.925), and the overall design suggests it was made for a young wearer, though the expandable nature of the bangle means it can accommodate growing wrists or wider adult hands. A sweet piece of everyday jewellery, practical and pretty in equal measure.
