Vintage unique Soviet 875 sterling silver ring, size L. 50s
About this piece
A striking Soviet-era ring in 875 silver, shaped as a bold geometric shield with sweeping curved lines and small spherical studs creating rhythmic surface detail. The design suggests the Modernist vocabulary of the 1950s, when Soviet metalwork embraced clean forms and textural contrast. The deep oxidised patina gives it distinguished presence, while the polished edges catch light beautifully.
In UK size L, the ring sits comfortably on the hand and suits both everyday wear and occasion. The 875 standard — slightly higher than sterling — speaks to Soviet manufacturing pride. The piece shows honest wear consistent with its age: the patina is intentional and adds character rather than detract. A simple buff with a soft cloth will restore shine; avoid harsh chemicals that might damage the oxidised finish.
