Early 20th century antique silver heart pendant.
About this piece
A charming silver heart locket, hallmarked for the early twentieth century. The front is engraved with foliate detail and scrollwork, while the reverse presents a smooth, polished surface — both faces meeting at a neat seam that opens to reveal the hinged interior space, perfect for holding a tiny photograph or keepsake. The small loop at the top is securely soldered and ready for a chain.
The piece shows honest wear consistent with age and use: light surface patina, minor scuffing, and slight darkening in the recesses where silver naturally tarnishes. The hinges work smoothly, and the clasp closes securely. We recommend gentle polishing with a soft cloth and silver cream if you wish to restore its shine, then storing it away from moisture to slow future tarnish.
