A beautiful pair of sterling silver stud earrings by Tetienne Jewellery, pre-owned and still with their original maker’s tags attached. Each earring holds a round, faceted pyrope garnet in a smooth, polished bezel setting, with a pretty open-work gallery to the side. The checkerboard-style faceting catches the light and brings out the deep wine-red glow of the stones.
Crafted in 925 sterling silver with a rhodium finish for extra brightness and tarnish resistance. Both the posts and the butterfly backs are stamped 925. The total gemstone weight is approximately 1.9 carats across the pair.
Pyrope is the fiery red member of the garnet family, and its name comes from the Greek for “fire-like”. For centuries it has been worn as a stone of protection and vitality, believed to warm the heart, renew energy and strengthen courage and passion. Garnet is also known as a stone of loyalty and devotion, helping to keep love and friendship close.
Elegant enough for evenings out, yet simple enough to wear every day.
