A rare vintage pin badge featuring the iconic Lada car logo of AvtoVAZ, the Volga Automobile Plant in Tolyatti. The silver Lada logo stands out against a rich green enamel background with a fine textured pattern beneath, all set within a neat oval frame.
Made in Russia in the 1990s from lightweight aluminium, it carries the oval Lada logo AvtoVAZ introduced in 1993, a lovely piece of post-Soviet motoring history. This green version is genuinely hard to find. The blue oval is the familiar one, while green examples rarely come up for sale, making this a special find for Lada and Zhiguli enthusiasts, car-badge collectors and anyone who collects Russian and Soviet znachki. It looks just as good pinned to a jacket, bag or cap.
As a vintage piece it shows light signs of age, with fine surface scratches to the silver logo and minor wear around the rim. The green enamel remains bright and glossy, and the original pin and catch are present and intact.
