A charming Art Deco pendant in sterling silver, built around a square mother-of-pearl plaque set within a decorative frame of marcasite — the glittering iron sulphide mineral that catches light beautifully. The geometric frame sits proud of the stone, typical of 1920s–1940s design, and the whole piece hangs from a sturdy bail loop.

The mother-of-pearl shows the characteristic soft iridescence and subtle striations of the material, whilst the marcasite surround has retained good sparkle. The silver bears hallmarks consistent with vintage sterling work. This is a versatile pendant equally at home on a chain or worn as a centrepiece in a longer necklace. Condition is excellent, with only light surface wear befitting its age. Clean with a soft, dry cloth; avoid prolonged moisture to protect the marcasite patina.
