A striking vintage silver ring from the post-Soviet era of the 1990s, with a sculptural, modernist design. A sweeping silver wave curls around the finger and cradles a sparkling marquise-cut cubic zirconia, held at each tip by a neat ball claw. Along one side, a slim channel sets two smaller round stones between little beaded details. The gentle oxidised shading in the recesses brings out the shape and depth of the piece.
Cubic zirconia is a stone of clarity and light. Its brilliant, rainbow-flashing sparkle is said to sharpen focus and boost confidence, and to help the wearer feel bright, clear-headed and self-assured. It is a lovely reminder to shine.
The ring is hallmarked silver inside the band, typical of 1990s post-Soviet jewellery. It is in good vintage condition, with a soft natural patina and light surface wear in keeping with its age. All stones are present and secure.
