A delicate vintage sterling silver ring from the Soviet era, shaped like two snowdrop buds, each set with a single sparkling clear stone. The buds have fine beaded milgrain edges and sit in a graceful bypass design, with sculpted petals curling softly around the finger. It’s feminine, flowing and full of old-world charm.
The two small stones are cubic zirconia, a stone first created in the Soviet Union and much loved in jewellery of the period. Its bright, clear sparkle is associated with clarity of mind, focus and self-confidence, and it’s said to amplify positive intentions and bring a gentle sense of calm and purpose to the wearer. The snowdrop itself is a traditional symbol of hope and new beginnings.
Hallmarked 925 on the inside of the band, with the Soviet star assay mark and the maker’s mark.
UK size O½ (approx. US 7½), measured on a ring mandrel.
Pre-owned vintage condition, with light wear consistent with age and some natural darkening in the recesses between the buds, which adds to its antique character. A gentle clean will brighten the silver further if preferred.
Box not included.
