About this piece
This is a striking modernist pendant by the renowned Norwegian silversmith G. Dunker, hallmarked 830S. The geometric design comprises four stacked trapezoid frames, each subdivided by internal triangular voids, creating a bold interplay of solid silver and open space. The construction is clean and architectural—characteristic of Dunker’s design philosophy—with each section precisely cast and finished.
The pendant hangs from a sturdy oval-link anchor chain in matching silver, measuring 55 cm in length. Wear is minimal and even across the surfaces; the patina visible in the second photograph speaks to age and authentic use rather than damage. The piece remains in excellent structural condition with no dents, cracks or solder repairs evident. A truly distinctive example of 1970s Scandinavian modernist jewellery, equally at home worn as a statement pendant or admired as a sculptural object.
