Sterling silver brooch with marcasite and pearls, Flower brooch, Brooch with leaf
About this piece
A striking Art Deco brooch in sterling silver, its dynamic composition built from sweeping curved petals and leaf forms set with marcasite. The dark stone catches light beautifully across the face, creating depth and movement that reads as both floral and abstract. At the heart sits a lustrous pearl — likely cultured — anchoring the design with soft radiance against the cool metalwork.
The pin fastens securely with a conventional brooch clasp. The silvery metal shows gentle patina consistent with age and gentle wear, with no active damage; the marcasite remains intact and the pearl secure. This is a brooch that works equally well on a jacket lapel, collar, or worn at the shoulder of a dress or coat. A light polish with a soft cloth will restore brightness if desired, though the subtle tarnish adds period character.
