Strawberry brooch
About this piece
A charming enamel brooch cast in gilded metal, featuring a cluster of five bright red enamel strawberries suspended from a curved gold-tone branch. The leaves are rendered in deep green enamel, adding natural detail to the whimsical design. The berries are modelled with fine dimpling to suggest the seed pattern typical of real fruit, and the whole piece has a playful, vintage-inspired character that sits somewhere between costume jewellery and genuine craftsmanship.
The brooch fastens with a hinged pin and clasp on the reverse. It is in excellent condition, with bright, even enamel work and no chips or losses visible. The gilding is warm and consistent across the metal work. A delightful piece for lapel, collar or bag, it captures a mid-century sensibility with its naturalistic yet decorative approach to everyday fruit.
