About this piece
A striking Soviet-era twisted band in sterling silver, rendered with a classic Art Deco sensibility that speaks to mid-twentieth-century metalwork at its finest. The design features a rope-twist motif with beaded detailing running across the shoulders, creating rhythmic shadow and light as it catches the eye. The hallmark carries the USSR star and hammer & sickle assay mark alongside the factory mark—treasured documentation of its Soviet manufacture, circa 1950s.
In UK size P½, the band weighs 2.07g and shows honest wear consistent with a vintage piece: surface scratches, oxidisation darkening the beaded recesses, and slight out-of-round distortion to the band. These marks are part of its history rather than flaws. To keep the silver lustrous, a gentle cloth polish will restore shine; for deeper cleaning, a mild silver dip followed by warm soapy water works well. Store it away from moisture to slow natural tarnish.
