A stunning and authentic vintage double-strand pearl necklace

The Pearls: Crafted with genuine, natural pearls featuring a beautiful creamy-white luster and a lovely warm vintage glow. The pearls are beautifully graduated, increasing in size from the small ends to the larger center pearls.

Design & Length: Measuring a classic 47 cm in total length, featuring a gorgeous two-strand design. The necklace is expertly hand-knotted between each pearl.

The Clasp: Features a gorgeous, intricate Art Deco style filigree box clasp made of solid silver (hallmarked “SILVER”), accented with a single central pearl.

Condition: The pearls and the vast majority of the silk strands are in wonderful, well-preserved vintage condition. Please note: there is minor wear and aging on the silk threads right at the base near the clasp, which is completely normal for its age and ready for a simple restringing or gentle wear. Comes in its matching vintage display box.

This is a handsome double-strand graduated pearl necklace in the Art Deco style, hallmarked solid silver and dating to the 1930s. The pearls — genuine and naturally lustrous — graduate gently from smaller at the ends to fuller in the centre, and are hand-knotted on silk between each stone, a labour-intensive technique that speaks to its period and quality.

At 47 cm, the length is classic: long enough to drape elegantly or sit as a choker depending on how it falls. The clasp is the showpiece: an ornate filigree box clasp in solid silver, centred with a single pearl and bearing the hallmark SILVER. The silk knotting shows honest age near the clasp — minor wear to the threads at the base — which is entirely expected and ready for gentle restringing if needed. The piece comes in its original vintage presentation box. A fine example of English jewellery craftsmanship from the interwar years.
