Baltic Soviet Union vintage pins
About this piece
A collection of Soviet-era badges from the Baltic republics, each mounted on a simple metal pin back. The group spans themes of regional pride, cultural heritage and civic achievement—shields bearing heraldic designs, architectural landmarks, and emblematic symbols rendered in bronze, brass and enamel. Several bear Cyrillic inscriptions identifying towns, republics and organisations.
These pins reflect the Soviet period’s culture of commemorative metalwork and personal display. Surface wear and patina are consistent with age and use; enamel work shows minor crazing and loss in places. Ideal for collectors of Cold War memorabilia, Soviet badges, or Baltic history. Display on a board, wear on a jacket lapel, or keep as historical keepsakes of a vanished political landscape.
