New Brooches
About this piece
A charming collection of nine brooches, each capturing a different mood and era. From the delicate red dragonfly with its detailed wings to the trio of glossy cherries with golden leaves, and the vibrant enamelled bird clutching a turquoise stripe, these pieces span decades of design sensibility. The silver-toned wreath of purple and pearl-effect teardrops, studded with rhinestones, speaks to mid-century glamour; the pearl crescent brooch with its sweeping rhinestone halo carries formal elegance; and the small black cat face, rendered in oxidised metal, offers whimsy. A tiny sailboat with enamel detail completes the set—each ready to pin to lapel or collar.
Most pieces show the lustrous finish and crisp detail of unused stock, though some bear the gentle patina of age appropriate to vintage costume jewellery. The construction spans both base metals and silver-toned alloys, with enamelled details and rhinestone settings typical of mid-twentieth-century production. These are decorative brooches—affordable, colourful, and perfectly suited to adding personality to a coat, bag, or hat. Simple soap and water cleaning keeps them bright; store in a dry place to preserve enamel work.
