A charming vintage brooch in solid brass, made in the bold modernist style of the 1960s and 70s. It shows a stylised woman’s face with a sleek bob, almond eyes and a zigzag headband. The polished golden relief stands out against a dark, finely lined background.
The design is pressed right through the metal, so the reverse shows the same face in mirror image. It has a simple pin and C-clasp fastening, which closes securely. The style strongly suggests Soviet-era craftsmanship, though it is unmarked.
It measures approximately 3cm. As you would expect from a piece of this age, there is natural patina, some small surface spots and light verdigris near the hinge on the back. These add to its vintage character. Please see the photos for full detail.
